What helps in a referral

  • Presenting complaint, duration and what has been tried
  • Relevant history: previous surgery, anticoagulants, diabetes, smoking status
  • Imaging already done, with report copies or the imaging provider named
  • Compensable status where relevant (workers compensation, CTP, DVA) with claim details

What you will get back

  • Acknowledgement of the referral and the appointment date
  • A letter after every consultation, with the working diagnosis and plan
  • Operation notes and the rehabilitation protocol after any surgery
  • A direct line for questions about a shared patient

Rehabilitation protocols for allied health

Post-operative protocols are shared openly so patients hear one consistent message from the whole team. The library grows as each protocol is finalised.
